Crumble Crust Apple Pie

Ingredients:

    • 5 apples

    • 1 pie crust

    • 1 cup sugar

    • 3/4 cup flour

    • 1/3 cup butter

    • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

Pare apples. Slice into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle on 1/2 cup sugar mixed with spices and salt. Sift remaining sugar with flour. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 450` for 15 minutes.

Remove foil and bake at 375` for 35-40 minutes. Bake until apples are tender & crumb crust is brown.
