1 pack of Kings Hawaiian Rolls
4 tbsp butter, melted
3.5oz box of instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 cup (for filling) + 1/4 cup milk (for chocolate topping)
1/2 cup cool-whip topping
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
pinch of salt
Base Prep
Put the rolls in a 9x13 baking dish and separate them slightly to allow room for rising.
Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter
Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 350Β°F for 6-7 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Filling Prep
In a small bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix, salt, and the 1/2 cup of milk. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Mix in the cool-whip topping until fully incorporated.
Refrigerate the pudding mixture for at least 10+ minutes to allow it to set.
Topping Prep
Scald the 1/4 cup of milk by microwaving it for about 30 seconds. Repeat until nearly boiling.
Stir in the chocolate chips until fully melted and smooth. Allow the chocolate mixture to cool slightly.
Assembly
Poke a hole in the center of each roll using a small spoon or your finger. Do not go all the way through the roll.
Pipe the pudding mixture into each roll, filling the hole you created.
Dip the tops of the filled rolls into the melted chocolate mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
Place the rolls back in the baking dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set and the flavors to meld together.
Serve chilled and enjoy your delicious chocolate-filled Hawaiian rolls!
